This is an outstanding opportunity for a contemporary and inspirational leader well versed in the academic mission to serve at one of the nation's premier Departments of Anesthesiology.

The Incoming Vice Chair of Education will be responsible for creating and implementing short, mid, and long-term strategies to enhance education delivery for trainees in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, and to strengthen the culture of education research. Measure the impact through resident evaluations and percentage of faculty engaged in the educational mission.

* Enhance the learning environment by increasing inclusion of faculty and trainees through enhanced recruitment strategies, developing platforms for faculty and trainee wellness resources and protected time, and increasing faculty engagement in education.

* Increase divisional participation in education research. Mechanism includes both increasing education research projects and engagement of residents in departmental research activities. Increase the number of faculty educational projects, publications, and presentations.
